Police on Saturday nabbed a man with a .40 Glock firearm and three matching rounds of ammunition at Buxton, East Coast Demerara.
According to the Police, a search was conducted on the man at his residence at Company Path Road, Buxton, ECD after a report was made that he had discharged a loaded firearm at a 28-year-old woman. Reports are that at about 02:15h on Saturday, Police responded to the report of an alleged discharging of a loaded firearm with intent, committed on the female, also of Buxton. Police said that during a search of the premises, the suspect was caught in his bedroom with the firearm in his hands in an attempt to hide it. Police ranks subsequently managed to retrieve the firearm from the suspect, which turned out to be one .40 Glock pistol along with three matching rounds of ammunition.
According to Police, the suspect, along with two female occupants of the house, was then escorted from his premises to the Vigilance Police Station at about 04:25h on Saturday morning.
