Buxton Youth Developers booked their spot in the round-of-sixteen by hammering South Ruimveldt Secondary 5-0 when the sixth annual Milo Schools Football Tournament continued on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Shemar Kingston smashed a hat-trick with goals in the 15th, 25th and 32nd while Shemar Singh supported with goals in the 24th and 42nd.
Queenstown Secondary motored pass inaugural winners St George’s High 4-1 on the back of braces by Joseph Hickenson (11th & 17th) and Carl Chisholm (30th &54th); Stephan Daniels scored for the Church Street unit in the 48th.
Likewise, Masters Academy continued their perfect run by edging former Champions Lodge Secondary 2-1 with the help of Calvin Peters in the 40th and an own goal ten minutes later while Nicholas Trotman netted for Lodge in the 58th.
The other match of the day saw Friendship Secondary win via walkover against Carmel Secondary.
The under-18 tournament which is a collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health under the theme “there is no excuse for violence” will continue this weekend as more teams seek to solidify their spot in the knock out stages. a
