Decorcy Hatton, a 25-year-old taxi driver of Company Road, Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD), who was accused of raping a teenage girl, was granted bail in the sum of 250,000.
The accused appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court and was not required to plea to the charge which stated that he committed the act on October 10, 2023.
The charge was instituted against him by Police ranks of the Cove and John Police Station who investigated the matter. The matter will be called again on January 29, 2024.
