BV, Mahaicony battle to stalemate

Mahaicony seniors braved the busy roadways as they traversed miles in an effort to avenge their semi-final expulsion in the 2018 BV/Triumph Emancipation Cohesion Football league.

Their hopes of success were, however, quickly dashed when promising youth player Omari Glasgow found the back of the net against Mahaicony in the 40th minute.
That goal seemingly left Mahaicony in a state of bewilderment, and the sizable crowd were left in apparent state of amazement, as BV’s youthful seniors exhibited great prowess.
Nevertheless, Mahaicony’s efforts did not flag, although they noticeably fought feverishly to equalise. They were able to accomplish that feat in the 80th minute, when Mahaicony’s striker Leroy Halley right booted a bomber into goal.
With ten minutes remaining, a draw appeared inevitable. However, in the final minute of the match, BV striker Deshane Garnett burned a hole in the goal net to send the sizeable mass of BV supporters into a frenzy. Their celebration was short-lived, as the referee disallowed the goal based on an observable infringement.
On continuation, the remaining seconds quickly ticked away, to usher in the referee’s whistle at end of play, and to register the friendly engagement match between BV and Mahaicony seniors 1-1.
