BVA beach volleyball rescheduled

As preparations for the 2018 Inter Guiana Games (IGG) continues, the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) have now rescheduled their beach volleyball competition and a Demerara visit; to mid-December.

Port Mourant Training Centre were crowned champions

Both activities, slated for this upcoming weekend were on the BVA’s cards over the past few months as the training intensifies ahead of the February’s IGG; where Guyana has been dominant in the outdoor format of the sport in recent years.
While Head Coach and BVA President Levi Nedd confirmed that the reasons for push back the events were out of the association’s hands, he did promise the activities will happen in a few weeks but gave no specific date.
The BVA further continued to provide players with lots of match time when they concluded a recent Male/Female tournament at the Apprentice Hostel Compound, Berbice. The competition saw the dominant Males of Port Mourant Training Center 1 (PMTC) brushing aside PMTC 2; three sets; 14-25, 25-18, 15-11.
Meanwhile, the ladies also continued their preparations with an intense encounter between Port Mourant and Corriverton Jets. The encounter would end bad for the Jets who suffered a 30-18 thumping at the hands of PM ladies.
