Home Sports CAC Bodybuilding Championships 2022: Fung earns long-awaited Pro Rank Card as Team...
They say good things come to those who wait, and the sensational Rosanna Fung was able to cop two gold medals and her long-awaited Pro Rank Card, while Team Guyana was able also to bag a 12-medal haul at this year’s CAC Bodybuilding Championships in Barbados.
The 22-year-old sensation has now joined the ranks of the IFBB Elite Pros. After winning the Junior Wellness class ahead of her compatriot Asanti Conway, Fung returned to the dimly lit Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Stage in the senior class and won that also. She then used her wonderfully-defined and statuesque physique to decimate the competition in the overall category and bag herself another gold in one of the most attractive red bikini suits.
Fung has gleaned two gold medals and the Pro Card in just her second outing at this flagship regional bodybuilding event.
Disappointingly, Men’s Physique standout Emmerson Campbell was again edged out of the apex position, and finished with another silver medal at the annual fixture, which heads to Aruba next year and Guyana in 2024.
Campbell has again fallen short of attaining his goal of earning that elusive Pro Card.
Meanwhile, Team Guyana finished with a haul of five golds, six silvers and a bronze medal. The medalists are Julio Sinclair (gold in the heavyweight), Rawle Green (Masters Under-50 gold and bronze) Nicholas Albert (silver x2/junior and 75kg), Roger Callender (silver bantamweight), Christina Ramsammy (silver bikini) and Asanti Conway (silver Junior wellness).
The medal count for Guyana is as follows:
Rosanna Fung – 3 golds
Rawle Green – 1 gold, 1 bronze
Julio Sinclair – 1 gold
Nicholas Albert – 2 silvers
Emmerson Campbell – 1 silver
Asanti Conway – 1 silver
Roger Callender – 1 silver
Christina Ramsammy – 1 silver
