ꟷ Novices/Juniors Championships set for Sunday, February 16
The Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Association Federation hosted its Annual General Meeting yesterday at the National Racquet Centre on Woolford Avenue in Georgetown, and for the fifth consecutive year, Ed Caesar has been elected president, as the entire executive membership of this body was returned en bloc.
The meeting got underway at 09hrs with the members examining topics such as the Renewal of Affiliation, Review of 2019 AGM Minutes, President’s Report for 2019, General Secretary’s Report for 2019, Treasurer’s Report for 2019, Election of 2020 Office Bearers, and Any Other Business.
The entire Executive was returned en bloc following presentations by Caesar, General Secretary Andrea Smith, and Treasurer Colin Austin.
The Caesar-led committee has been pushing the GAPLF to higher heights every year as it ensures representation of the Golden Arrowhead at national and international forums.
The GAPLF will now be focusing its attention on staging the GAPLF Novices/Juniors Championships for 2020, which are scheduled for Sunday, February 16th, at the Saints Stanislaus College on Brickdam, Georgetown. Weigh-in time will be between 7:00am and 8:30am for Flight A, while lifting will start at 9:00am.
