Eyewitnesses told this publication that at the time of the accident, “Cake Man” was on his way home.
After the impact, the now dead man was pitched several feet away and landed on the road, where he sustained severe head injuries.
He was seen lying in a pool of blood for some time as people flocked to the scene, including his wife. The distraught woman said he had left home to run some errands.
Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on the scene sometime later and pronounced him dead.
However, checks are being made in the area for CCTV footage as investigations continue.
This is the second fatal accident that has occurred in Enmore over the past weeks. Last month, Police Constable Roger Clinton Bowen died after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident along the Enmore Public Road.
He was admitted to the High Dependency Unit at Georgetown Public Hospital but succumbed a few days later.
