Griffith expressed pleasure at Camex being committed to the success of the festival, and disclosed that Camex have been active in the community and have been exploring sporting and other opportunities for growth.
She noted that the Camex brand “is about sharing the good times with communities, and so it was an easy decision to partner with the organisation.”
In wishing the tournament well, Griffith said Camex are hoping the tournament would “bring more opportunities for more futsal competitions in Guyana, and increase the level of awareness of the sport.”
The four-day festival will kick off with six matches that will be played between 18:00hrs and 00:00hrs, with each match being played on the hour, and action culminating with the final match being played at 23:00hrs.

The winning team will pocket $1.2 million, while the losing finalist will receive half that amount. Third and fourth-placed finishers will pocket $300,000 and $100,000 respectively.
