Recognising the gap between Guyana and the rest of the world as it relates to artificial intelligence (AI), an informative session was facilitated by Camille’s Academy which saw scores of students and educators being exposed to the many benefits in which the technology can improve learning activities.
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has been rampant these days, as big techs have tried to figure out how to capitalize on the opportunity and enjoy the efficiencies that have been emerging whereas in the Caribbean region and Guyana, tiny pockets of AI development exist.
These were the sentiments of the founder of the Caribbean AI Institute, Nick Brown while speaking at the conference last week.
“As developed countries put billions of dollars into artificial intelligence, countries like Guyana haven’t had anyone demonstrate to them at scale how these tools can be used,” he stated.
