Campbellville man dies after losing control of motorcycle

A Campbellville, Georgetown man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening.

Dead is 31-year-old David Babb of Lot 31 J Duncan Street, Campbellville. The accident occurred on Denis Street near the Campbellville Fire Station.
According to reports, Babb was riding his motorcycle at a fast pace when he lost control.
The dead man’s grandfather, Kenneth Babb, told Guyana Times that he last saw his grandson, who lives in the same house with him, around 15:00h on the day in question and was unaware of the accident until Thursday morning.
He related that around 07:00h, the Police visited his home and informed him that David had been in an accident and died. His body is at the Lyken Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem examination as Police continue their investigations.
