Canada-Guyana Chamber, Starr Computer aid Guyana’s flood relief efforts

As efforts continue to assist flood-affected persons countrywide, the Canada-Guyana Chamber of Commerce and Starr Computer have aided the work of the Civil Defence Commission with several donations.
Canada-Guyana Chamber of Commerce handed over monetary aid along with relief support items to CDC’s Public Relations Officer, Patrice Wishart.
Wishart thanked the Canada-Guyana Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) and a myriad of businesses for their timely contributions towards the national flood relief effort.
Chairman of the CGCC, Anand Beharry said in an invited comment: “As members of Guyana’s business community, we are deeply committed to helping our colleagues and communities in Guyana during this tremendously challenging time and we are honoured to support the disaster relief efforts of the Government of Guyana through the CDC.”

Meanwhile, Starr Computer made a donation of 200 cases of drinking water along with 1000 double layer face masks being air-shipped to Guyana and an extra 2000 face masks from the BioSafety Department at Starr Computer.
