Canada’s High Commissioner puts bat on ball before departure

There are many ways to say goodbye, however, if it is an astute leader then there might be consideration of exploring an activity that will have a lifetime impact. That option cannot be limited to any sort of initiative, but one that is directly intact with the individual who is being honoured.

In this case staffs of the High Commission of Canada enjoyed a friendly 8-over soft ball match among themselves on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Everest Cricket Club to bid farewell to the outgoing High Commissioner Pierre Giroux. It was his first hand at the sport.
The Kingston Knights, led by Wilton Lawrence, triumphed over the Yukon Warriors, led by Melville Rogers, winning by 3 runs. The top scorer was Harry Dhanai from the Yukon Warriors with 49 runs, followed by Kester Robin with 45 runs.
The game was organized as a parting gift by the staff for outgoing High Commissioner Pierre Giroux who will be departing this week.
