Canal 6 win Jupats Bar & Grill dominoes

Canal 6 emerged winners of the Jupats Bar & Grill feature dominoes tournament played last Sunday at the sponsors 785 Block “Y”, Section “C”, Golden Grove, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank, Dememara venue.

Apart from the first sitting when they lagged one game behind, Cool As Ice and Gansham General Construction, Canal led throughout the other sittings to come out tops with a whopping 86 games, 13 more than Cool As Ice who placed second on 73 and Gansham General Construction who brought up the rear on 68.
Ron Callender, with the maximum 18 games, led the way for Canal 6 while there were consistent scores of 16 from Ronald Beharry, 15 from Mark Welch and 14 each from skipper Ramroop Sukhai and Basdeo Persaud.
The top scorers for Cool As Ice were Adrian White and Ryan Prashad with 15 and 13 games respectively while Raymond Alli and Michael Thorn made 15 and 13 respectively for Gansham General Construction. The lone love bird was Faiuze Sahid of Ghansham General Constrution.
Trophies were awarded to the winning and first runners-up teams and the Most Valuable Player, Ron Callender of Canal 6, all compliments of Jupats Bar & Grill.
The tournament was coordinated and run by popular dominoes enthusiast Manniram Shew of Shew’s General Store who expressed sincere thanks to the sponsors for their generous contribution.
