Marcellus Marks allegedly stole eight cart wheels, worth $40,000, from Stephany Mascoll on September 12, 2018 at Hadfield Street, Georgetown, and recently found himself before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore to plead to the allegation of larceny.
Appearing before the magistrate unrepresented by legal counsel, the 44-year-old Marks denied the charge, and in a bail application, informed the magistrate that he is unemployed and does not have any money.
But when placed on $20,000 bail, Marks charged his plea and admitted to stealing the items. As such, he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment.
