Two Lindeners were sentenced to six months behind bars by Magistrate Wanda Fortune on Wednesday after they were found guilty of simple larceny at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.

Jailed are 19-year-old Randy Boucher and 25-year-old Kester Chase, both of Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice).
The court heard that the duo stole 39 sacks of cement from Godfrey Yearwood at his Central Amelia’s Ward property between August 24 and 25, 2020. The stolen items were valued $66,000. (G13)
