Central Corentyne advance to finals

Central Corentyne continued their dominance in the ongoing Region Six Secondary school inter-zone volleyball tournament played throughout Berbice.
After dominating both the boys and girls category in the opening stages of the tourney, Central Corentyne boys team then disposed of Black Bush Secondary, winning in straight sets – 25-7 and 25-8.

Meanwhile, in the girls’ category, the Corentyne young ladies defeated Manchester Secondary 30-16 in their single set played.
With the initial stages over, attention will now turn to the aforementioned four teams who have qualified for the finals which will be held at the Port Mourant’s outdoor court at a date to be announced soon.
