Deputy Commissioner ‘Operations’ (ag) Ravindradat Budhram has chaired a meeting with officials of the Guyana Cricket Board to discuss the Force’s security postures and arrangements for the upcoming CG Insurance Women’s Super50 Cup and CWI T20 Blaze Cricket tournaments that are slated to be hosted in Guyana.
That meeting was held at the Officers’ Training Centre Boardroom on Friday, June 3, and it focused primarily on the Force’s operational postures, security details for the athletes during their stay, and arrangements for their transportation before and after the matches.
The tournament is scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 7 and end on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Matches will be played daily at three venues: the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, Everest Cricket Club in Georgetown, and Enmore Cricket Ground on the ECD.
Commander of Region 4’A’, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean; Commander of 4’C’, Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram; Commander of 4’B’, Woman Superintendent Denise Griffith; and the Traffic Chief, Superintendent Ramesh Ashram, participated in the meeting on behalf of the GPF.
Guyana Cricket Board’s Territorial Development Officer Colin Stuart; Events Coordinator Dr. Viola Rowe; Head of Security, Robby Saywack; and Cricket West Indies Project Officer Sheena Gooding participated in the meeting on behalf of the GCB and Cricket West Indies.
