CGI-SBF Petroleum Jaguars One-Day 50 overs league bowls off Sunday

The Cricket Guyana Inc (CGI) 50 overs franchise league has returned to Guyana. This year’s tournament, which will bowl off from October 13 and will conclude on October 24, is sponsored by SBF Petroleum. The launching ceremony was held at the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Office at Bourda.

With the league aiming to prepare the Guyana Jaguars team for the Regional Super 50, which is scheduled for November 6, eight teams will battle for supremacy across seven rounds with matches being hosted at venues throughout the country. Technical Developmental Officer Colin Stuart expects this tournament to be a highly competitive one.
CGI expressed how delighted they were with the sponsorship from SBF Petroleum. The CEO of the Petroleum company, Derwin Best, was happy to be involved in the development of cricketers in Guyana.
