Canadian oil company CGX Energy Incorporated donated $10 million to the Guyana Government to aid the massive COVID-19 response.
As part of its ongoing commitment to Guyana, CGX Energy Incorporated handed over its contribution to the Health Ministry to assist in the purchase of COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline workers.
Health Minister, Dr Frank Anthony thanked the management of CGX for its financial contributions of towards the COVID-19 fight. During his brief remarks, he explained that there was a daily rise in COVID-19 cases and deaths, and the health team was making efforts to stabilise the current situation.
