The first major test to Chase Academic Foundation’s quest for a helmet-trick of titles in the sixth annual Milo Schools Football tournament will occur today as they oppose arch nemesis Sir Leon’s Lesson in the quarter-finals at the Ministry of Education, Carifesta Avenue.
Chase Academic Foundation and Sir Leon’s Lesson should be clash filled with non-stop action
Both teams have played unbeaten thus far and have looked the most imposing units. Sir Leon’s reached this stage with a whopping 7-0 victory over Uitvlugt Secondary led by Lennox young who scored a helmet-tick. The champs were tested by Ann’s Grove Secondary but overcame 3-1.
The tale is certainly too close to call but it is hard not to have the formidable Chase start as favourites when action kicks-offs at 16:00h.
Earlier, Buxton Youth Developers will oppose Masters Academy who finished third last year and has a perfect outing to date.
On Sunday, former champions Lodge Secondary clash with Pure Masters then 2017 runners-up Morgan’s Learning Centre oppose Annandale Secondary. The Semi-finals and final will be played on March 25 and 28 respectively.
Played under the theme “there is no excuse for violence” due to the tournament’s partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, the under-18 boys will be hoping to secure the first place prize of $500,000 which goes towards a school project.
