Dear Editor,
There are some persons advertising themselves in the press and elsewhere as astrologers from India, and they claim they could miraculously cure all kinds of physical and mental ailments and make all wishes come true!
The Police had, some time ago, raided two similar fraudsters — who had no permit to work in Guyana, and paid no income taxes.
They immediately fled the country.
In Trinidad, one similar fraudster was sued for failing to deliver, but got away before the case came up for trial.
Would the Police do the necessary checks on the new ones who are advertising? It behooves the Police to protect citizens.
Yours truly,
R Outar
