Chef charged with forgery

A chef who decided to “cook up” some false documents which purported to show that she falsely owned a property was fortunate to have bail granted to her when she appeared before the Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

Dyena Lutan Armstrong denied the allegation when it was presented to her.

It is alleged that on September 5, 2000 and July 22, 2016, she forged a document purporting to be a power of attorney document , granting herself the power to sell, transfer, convert or mortgage a property on behalf of Michelle Louhutan, knowing same to be forged.

The mother of five had her request for bail accepted and it was granted in the sum of $75,000. She is expected to make her next appearance on January 13, 2017.
