A man who breached a court order found himself before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus charged with violating a protection order granted to the mother of his child against him.
Seon Felix, a sales coordinator of Lot 658 Diamond Housing Scheme, denied that on February 11, 2019 at Robb and Hinck Streets, Georgetown, he breached a court order and went within 100 feet of the Virtual Complainant, which is a violation of the protection order issued by Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman.
Defence Attorney Ronald Burch-Smith, in a bail application, told the court that on the day in question, his client had gone to the area to pay for his car insurance when he saw the woman in the vicinity. He said that his client continued his business, but was later arrested by Police.
However, the VC denied the claim put to the court by the defence counsel, saying that she became afraid after she saw Felix staring at her.
Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus ordered Felix to report to the Brickdam Police Station weekly until the trial is completed. The defendant was released on $10,000 bail. The case will continue today.
