Children’s show to transform National Stadium into safari-themed kids’ adventure park

Set to deliver a vibrant mix of excitement and family-friendly entertainment, the Play Land Carnival Children Show will take centre stage on May 31, inviting families from across Guyana to the Guyana National Stadium for a day packed with fun and adventure.

This event promises a full day of excitement, as the stadium’s tarmac will be transformed into a vibrant safari-themed play park, featuring multiple interactive zones designed to engage children between the ages of three and 16 years.
Organised by DACCO Guyana and Kids Fest 592, Play Land 2026 has been carefully designed to deliver a world-class children’s entertainment experience.
The expansive venue will utilise every square foot of the tarmac, with organisers partnering with all major kids’ event rental companies across Guyana to ensure a diverse and engaging line-up of attractions for every family member.
Patrons can look forward to an impressive range of activities, including bouncy castles and trampolines, novelty games and interactive zones, go-kart racing and simulation racing, sports car displays, Kids Fest Pageant cartoon character appearances, a kids spa experience, a DIY creative zone (hands-on arts, crafts, and interactive building activities), and a Squid Game Experience (Kids Edition) – fun, safe, and interactive versions of popular challenge-style games adapted for children.
The day will culminate in a super concert, featuring over 15 performers, including former youth competition winners, with support from the Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry.
Play Land 2026 holds the distinction of being an officially sanctioned children’s event commemorating Guyana’s 60th Independence Anniversary, making it a truly historic celebration for families nationwide.
In line with its commitment to inclusivity, organisers have launched a nationwide ticket distribution initiative to ensure children from all backgrounds can participate.
Corporate partners are encouraged to support the initiative through a ticket donation programme, allowing them to directly sponsor children from underserved communities –ensuring that no child is left out of this magical experience.
Event Manager Natalya Thomas shared that, with another successful year of hosting the event, it has stood out as a safe space where children can enjoy themselves safely.
“For over 12 years, I’ve been planning events in Guyana, and Play Land represents a major step toward expanding our reach. This event was created to give children from every corner of Guyana a safe and exciting space where they can freely enjoy rides and attractions.”
She added, “Safety remains a top priority. All unused areas will be properly secured, and we’ve worked extensively to ensure a controlled environment.”
