Businesswoman robbed at gunpoint

A businesswoman of Chinese descent is now counting her losses after being robbed by two armed men in the presence of her private security detail.
According to the Police reports, the woman was returning to her Brickdam, Georgetown residence, escorted by operatives from a private security firm, when two armed men pounced on the security officers.
The gunmen were armed with what the victims described as ‘long guns’. Police investigations later revealed that those were actually rifles. The two assailants reportedly discharged several shots into the air before they proceeded to relieve the businesswoman of her valuables.
The two gunmen took from the victim $500,000 cash, an iPhone valued at $100,000, a bag valued at $50,000, and $300,000 in jewellery and other valuables before they made good their escape.
The Police were subsequently summoned to the scene of the crime, where they recovered three 7.62 spent shells. Police investigations are currently ongoing.
