Christianburg begin title defence spritely

The defending champions Christianburg Wismar Secondary and Linden Foundation stopped their respective opponents 3-1 to begin their campaign in this year’s Edward Screw Richmond 10th Memorial Linden Secondary Schools Under 18 football.
Playing at the Wisburg Secondary ground against Harmony Secondary on Friday, the champions were led by a double from Michael Adams who netted in the 65th and 71st minutes after taking the advantage in the 20th minute through Andre Peters.
But the Harmony Secondary responded with a goal to tie things up through Bryan Culpepper in the 29th minute before the double from Adams pout things beyond them.
Then Linden Foundation Secondary made light work of Private Schools Combined with a 3-1 victory engineered by two goals off the boot of Shawn Jackson which came in the 23rd and 46th minutes of play and was further increased with another from Jamal Peters in the 54th minute for a 3-0 score line.
The Private Schools Combined however did pull back one goal when Javonte Lewis found the back of the net in the 65th minute as the game finally ended 3-1 score in favour of the Linden Foundation Secondary.
