“Chutney Fest” for Mash night at Better Hope

The melodious sounds of the Indian-Caribbean musical genre, chutney, will be the emanating sounds from the Better Hope Centre Ground, East Coast Demerara on Saturday, February 23.
This Carib beer sponsored “Chutney Fest” will feature several singer, including reigning Chutney Monarch Steven Ramphal and 2019 monarch, Bunty Singh. Members of the Shakti Strings Band will also be featured at the show this weekend. Aside from the musical entertainment, patrons can be prepared for an evening of entertainment from comedian and not so fragile, Granny Ivelaw, and members of the Shalita Dance Troupe.
During the various performances, the crowd will be entertained by several deejays to keep the high energy level at the event. These deejays include Father Moey, Golden Chyld, and 71 Sound.
Trade Marketing Assistant of ANSA McAL Trading Limited, Ray Lutchman, stated, “Everything is usually kept around Georgetown and for the past few years there hasn’t been any such event of this nature on the East Coast of Demerara.”
But, tickets can be redeemed with the purchase of a Carib special at selected supermarkets and bars on the East Coast of Demerara before February 23.
