CIOG President appointed Chairman of Central Mosque
President of the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) Al Hajj Shahabudeen Ahmad was recently appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Central Mosque of Georgetown – the Queenstown Jama Masjid.
Ahmad served as a Trustee of the Masjid for several years before he was elected to chairmanship.
The Queenstown Jama Masjid has been in existence for 127 years and has been serving the Muslim community in all religious aspects. The mosque is operated by a Board of Directors that is elected over a period of time.
