Junior Garrett, councilor attached to the Georgetown Mayor and City Council collapsed and died during a special meeting to discuss the city’s budget at City Hall.

It is suspected that the councillor suffered a heart attack. After his collapse he was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Deputy Mayor, Lionel Jaikarran has confirmed that Garret’s body is presently at the Woodlands Hospital and a post mortem will be performed on Monday to determine the cause of death… More in tomorrow’s edition of the Guyana Times….
