Having won the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation-sanctioned Hercules Charlie Carollo Legacy Classic, by which he earned his pro card ranking, Guyana’s incredible strength and conditioning athlete Kerwin Clarke will now shift his attention to the Pro Worlds competition, slated for Los Angeles, California on November 20, 2022.

Speaking exclusively with this publication, Clarke divulged, “Unfortunately for me, the Central American and Caribbean Championships wouldn’t see me this year, but I am eyeing the World Championship, which is slated for Los Angeles, California in November this year. Preparation for that is coming along pretty smoothly thus far, and I am just trying to put the necessary logistics and application in place with respect to training, diet, and forecasting in regard to my budget for this event.”

Clarke will now be focused on the Pro Worlds competition in November

As it relates to his level of confidence, Clarke said he is very confident, and he has always been confident. He explained that he has always trusted in his knowledge, experience and application. He described his application as steadfast, as it has been giving him much success, which is something he plans to maintain. He reiterated that he is very confident in his package, and said he would put together a competitive package when he hits the stage on November 20, 2022.
“Fitness for me is a lifestyle. Looking at me now and from where I came from, that motivates me more than anything else. People that surround me – I have a very small circle – they embrace the greatness that I possess. I also pat myself on my shoulders when I look back at how decorated I am as a natural athlete, and (what) my achievements (are) over the decade of being competitive. That motivates me and fuels me to even press harder,” Clarke has posited.
This talented Guyanese muscleman detailed that when heading off to the Worlds in November, he needs to win his category to advance. He divulged that the Open category may or may not be a mixture, but if it is, he would have to put together his best total package to cement the top podium spot.
Outside of that, if it is the weight category, Clarke would have to top his category to advance into the overall to bag the top spot. He noted that, whichever way the competition goes, for him it means hard work, therefore he will be channelling his energy and focus the right way, as he intends to make use of all of the resources available to him, as it is his intention to leave no stone unturned.
Clarke is optimistic that he would do well and do his country well, thus inspiring and motivating the youths and his other competitors in the same sporting discipline.
In likes of the 2022 team that would be attending the CAC, Clarke has encouraged the team to put their proverbial best foot forward and make their application process worthwhile. He also urged that athletes do the right thing and stay on the right path.
“I have been fortunate to have a few workout sessions with Roger Callender, who will be participating in the bantamweight category. He looks good, and if he can keep his focus up and execute, he is definitely a gold medallist,” Clarke has said.
“Emmerson Campbell, he knows his stuff, and I am confident he will do well. I am confident he will do well in his application. Nicholas Albert, whom I have seen, he has nice shoulders and he looks very promising, and I have always shared a lot of positive energy with him, and I think he is putting together a decent package. I also wish the other athletes well, and I give them my blessings” Clarke has declared.
