‘Clash of Champions’ will be decided tonight

The inaugural New Era Entertainment/Eyefull Entertainment’s Stag ‘Clash of Champions’ winners will be decided tonight when Dave and Celena’s Hustlers host Sparta Boss at the McKenzie Sports Club Hard Court tarmac, Linden in the final showdown.

The Georgetown champions Sparta Boss have already drawn first blood when the first leg was played in Georgetown at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue

last Sunday.

Nevertheless, the fighting spirit of the Linden Champions will look to bounce back from the 11-7 defeat and will be helped with the home court advantage and crowd support.

In the spot light will be Devon Millington and Gregory “Jackie Chan” Richardson who both scored hat tricks the last time these two teams met and will be the center of the action as Sparta Boss look to them for guidance.

On the other hand, Hustlers have the style and flamboyance of Deon “Crab” Charter and the power and skill of Jermaine “Brown Boy” Scotland who has impressed throughout the various competitions as well as on the opening night where he scored twice alongside Anthony “Kang” Sancho.

Both teams are having some extraordinary runs in the sport over the last few months and will have a lot on their mind as they look to take the $200,000 prize in the winner take all tournament.

Both teams have gathered an enormous fan base as they continue to produce some breath taking skills and entertainment for the large crowds night after night. It will be particularly interesting to see who will take it as it provides a home and away scenario for both teams.

But before the main event, fans will witness the immense competition as the championship will also be featuring Silver bullets facing Good Fellas and Town Cars (Georgetown taxi drivers) taking on Linden bus (Linden bus drivers).

All four teams made impressive showings in the Mohamed’s enterprise Futsal Tournament and definitely will renew their rivalries.

The matches will be played on a six a side basis inclusive on 5 players and a goal keeper, using the large goal and run under the rules of the Guyana Futsal Association.
