In the Veterans U-50 five-lap race, Sean Green won ahead of Keith Fernandes and Leer Nunes to claim the trophy.
Speaking to
Guyana Times Sport after the race, Hamzah Eastman noted that he had a good race. He added, “There wasn’t much competition, I knew I just had to get at the front (of the pack), create the break, and that was it. It was pretty awesome.”
He spoke of plans to get into more overseas racing as he bids to put Guyana on the map in terms of the sport of cycling.
The meet was hosted by Bank DIH Limited under the Malta Supreme Non-Alcoholic brand, and was coordinated by National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed.
