It was related to the court that Le Blanc was observed by Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) ranks sweating profusely and acting in a suspicious manner. He was accordingly questioned, and later taken to a city hospital, where an x-ray showed that he had pellets in his stomach.
La Blanc was made to excrete the pellets, and 774 grams of cocaine were retrieved therefrom. He was subsequently taken to the CANU Headquarters, where he admitted to the offence.
Asked by Magistrate Daly if he had anything to say in his defence, the man simply said, “I am very sorry for what happened.”
