Home News Conductor remanded for raping relative
A 24-year-old conductor, who allegedly raped a close relative in 2016, was on Friday charged for the offence and appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Dorian Fredricks appeared before Magistrate Rhondel Weaver. It is alleged that between October 1 and 31, 2016, at North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he engaged in sexual penetration with a female without her consent.
The prosecution is contending that Fredricks and the victim are relatives and sometime between October 1 and 31 he dealt the victim a slap whilst forcefully having sex with her. The prosecution is also contending that this occurred several times during the same period. The matter was reported but the charge was only recently instituted. Magistrate Weaver remanded Fredricks to prison. The case will continue on May 29, 2019.
