Dear Editor,
I extend congratulations to Brigadier (Ret’) Mark A Phillips, MSS, MSc on his selection and endorsement as the PPP/C’s prime ministerial candidate for the March 2, 2020 General and Regional Elections.
As a civic member of some standing, I welcome Mr Phillips to the fold and at the same time, I welcome Mr Hugh Todd and the numerous other civic candidates that will appear on the PPP/C’s regional, geographical and national top-up lists.
I believe that Mr Phillips will play his role and work arduously for a new wave of prosperity in Guyana in the next PPP/C Administration. The PPP/C team is stronger by these additions.
I have always advocated: “The part one plays can never be more important than the whole of which they are apart”.
