The Guyana Police Force, on Monday, was the recipient of 100 traffic cones following a donation by Retesh Singh of Bardon Construction Services.
The donation was received by Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Maxine Graham and Traffic Chief, Superintendent Linden Isles at the Forces’ Transport Department, Police Headquarters, Eve-Leary.
Singh, who is an ardent supporter of law enforcement initiatives, recently donated 50 traffic cones to D Division Commander, Senior Superintendent Edmond Cooper who has since been using same in front of several schools to avoid traffic congestion.
The businessman stated that in light of the upcoming Christmas holiday, he thought it best of donate the cones to assist in deceasing the traffic congestion.
Both Graham and Isles applauded the businessman’s kind gesture while thanking him for the donation of the much-needed equipment.
