Police have launched an investigation into the death of 29-year-old construction worker Rondell Clarke, who was fatally shot at Second Street, Foulis.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred between 19:30h and 19:45h on Sunday evening.

The suspect, a 25-year-old security officer attached to a private security service, was arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody assisting with investigations. Police have also confiscated the suspect’s firearm.
According to initial reports, Clarke was allegedly shot by the security officer. He was found conscious by responding police ranks, who transported him to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for emergency medical treatment. Clarke was admitted to the medical facility’s critical surgical unit but succumbed to his injuries at about 20:20h. His body has since been transferred to the GPHC mortuary, where it is being held pending a post-mortem examination. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are ongoing.
