Contraband items found during raid at NA Prison

Searches conducted at the New Amsterdam Prison by ranks of the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Prison Service between 05:35h and 07:50h on Tuesday have unearthed a number of contraband items.
The items unearthed are: three phone batteries; 29 lighters; two Ziplock bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems; one pack of cigarettes; a box wizzler; twelve cellphones; three charger heads; seventeen improvised weapons; three scissors; one box of razor blades; pieces of mirror; wires; and bottles containing fermented wine.
The items found were confiscated. (G9)
