Unrepresented by legal counsel, the 20-year-old Crandon denied the charge when it was read to him.
The prosecution is contending that following a night out with a female colleague, in which they both had lots to drink, the Policeman and his colleague checked into the hotel at about 03:45h, because they chose not to drive. However, while in the hotel, Crandon allegedly pounced on his colleague and raped her.
He was placed on $150,000 bail, and the case has been set to continue on March 22.
