Cops seeking help to ID dead man found on Rosignol roadway
A man that was found dead on the Rosignol Public Road, West Bank Berbice, on June 26 about 05:00h, has not yet been identified, and Police in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice) are still trying to figure out how he met his demise. The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has since asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the man. However, to date, no one has come forward.
According to reports, the man, who is of East Indian ancestry, and believed to be in his 40s, is 5’5” tall and was clad in a pair of blue long jeans and a black short-sleeved jersey when he was discovered.
Regional Commander Yonette Stephen confirmed that the man’s body remains at Bailey’s Funeral Home, West Coast Berbice, and is awaiting identification and a post-mortem examination (PME) to ascertain the cause of his death.
The police is asking anyone with information that might lead to the man’s identification to contact the Guyana Police Force on telephone numbers 232-0313, 232-0291, 911 or the nearest police station. (G9)
