Cops stumble on abandoned motorcycles during patrol
Police ranks stumbled upon three abandoned motorcycles at Lighttown village, East Bank Berbice (EBB), on Friday whilst doing patrol duties.
Reports are that at about 01:07h, a Police mobile patrol was in Light Town village, when ranks came upon the three abandoned motorcycles on the public road.
The motorcycles were a black and green XTZ 250 Lander Yamaha bearing registration number CG 5827 and registration number CJ 4083, a grey and black Wave 5 Honda 110 motorcycle bearing registration number CH 6005 and a black and red Lifan 125 bearing no registration number.
The motorcycles have since been lodged at the Central Police Station and an investigation launched.
Only recently a motorcycle suspected to have been stolen was discovered at an abandoned house in No 2 Village, East Canje, Berbice, during a Police operation.
According to Police reports, ranks of the Central Police Station conducted a raid on the premises, and a black motorcycle bearing registration number CB 1 was found.
It was taken to the Central Police Station, where it was lodged. (G9)
