Corentyne man dies after falling from landing

A 44-year-old tailor of Corentyne, Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne), is now dead after he reportedly fell from his landing and died on Friday.
The dead man has been identified as Vishwanauth Gajadhar called “Vishal or Beo” of Lot 5 E No 66 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
Based on reports received, the now dead man was an alcoholic and was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
On the day in question, Gajadhar was allegedly coming down from his landing when he slipped and fell. As a result, he became unconscious and was taken to the Skeldon Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was then escorted to the hospital’s mortuary where a post-mortem examination was conducted and the cause of death was given as shock with gastric, intestinal bleeding, and fatty liver. The autopsy was performed by local pathologist Dr V Brijmohan.
