Corona MVP to ride away on Hero Motorcycle

With a half-million-dollar first prize and monetary incentives for topping the group stage, the 2019 Corona Futsal tournament has become more lucrative; and there is also an eye-catching prize now up for grabs by the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP).
A stylish Hero Dawn 125cc motorcycle is being provided by Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales, the Guyana distributors of Hero vehicles, to be awarded to the tournament’s most outstanding player.
Speaking at a simple ceremony at the Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales South Road Showroom in Georgetown, Troy Mendonca, on behalf of the Petra organisation, spoke at length on Rose Ramdehol’s continued contributions towards the Corona tournament, and expressed gratitude for that company’s generosity.
“The Petra organisation is pleased to collaborate with Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales, through their Hero brand, once again to present this special prize of one motorcycle to the MVP of this year’s Corona Futsal tournament. So we went to express our gratitude on behalf of the football fraternity,” Mendonca said.
Joshua Ramdehol spoke to the values of the tournament in creating an avenue for unity among youths.
“They’re a lot of corporate Guyana that should be happy to be on board such a tournament that helps to promote unity among youths, as well as camaraderie and keeping them out of trouble in general. It’s more than just a tournament,” Ramdehol stated.
The Corona Futsal tournament will continue on Saturday, May 11, with six more exciting games in the round-robin segment. In the first match of the night, Tucville will square off with North East La Penitence at 19:30hrs. The second game will be a clash of the Titans, as Bent Street meets with Mocha at 20:15hrs.
