According to information received, the corporal, along with two other ranks, went to the home of a fisherman and seized the outboard engine and later sold it to someone else.
This was confirmed by a top official of the Guyana Police Force, who noted that an investigation is currently underway but the three ranks are under close arrest.
The senior police officer explained that the corporal, along with the ranks, should have tendered the outboard engine for investigation but they did not do so.
