Couple busted with ganja hidden in bedroom at Tuschen

A 29-year-old labourer and a 31-year-old woman were taken into custody following the discovery of a quantity of ganja on Thursday during an operation at Tuschen New Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).
Police stated that during the operation, ranks went to a residence in the area where they contacted the two suspects and requested to conduct a search of the premises.

During the search, several plastic bags containing cannabis were found among a heap of clothing in a bedroom. In light of the discovery, both suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
At the Police Station, the cannabis was weighed and amounted to 461.6 grams. Charges are pending following further investigations.
