Couple nabbed with cocaine, ganja charged

A couple of Tabatinga, Lethem in Central Rupununi, who was busted by Police ranks with 1314.8 grams of cocaine and 8045.4 grams of marijuana, has since been charged.
The couple – Duane Johnson, 35, along with Nadine Jeffrey, 23 – was charged on Thursday for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The two accused appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court. However, they both pleaded not guilty and were placed on $300,000 bail each.
The matter was adjourned to October 26. (G9)
