Court issues arrest warrants for COVID-19 violators

On Friday, Senior Magistrate Leron Daly issued arrest warrants for 30 persons who would have breached the COVID-19 guideline and failed to make their court appearance.
The police prosecutor told the court that on April 4, 2021, at Kitty, the violators were picked up by ranks of the Joint Services during “Operation COVI-CURB”. They were later released on station bail pending their court appearance.
Arrest warrants were issued for Candace Williams, Tikya Marcus, Tiovn Ming, Shirkah Cameron, Ashanti Marcus, Mark Collins, Alavida Barker, Tamika Fraser, Brian Bacchus, Frank Hugh, Jemell Maxwell, Tamara Dellon, Scarno Sinclair, Faith Forbes, Elijah Forbes, Chaitram Persuad, Angel St’Clair, Melanie Jones, Susan Paul, Malika Marslow, Paul Dennis, Sofia Sanchez, Randy Docks, July Williams, Candace Williams, Shank Williams, Dennis Jones, Martisha Stephen, Dequan Durant and Susan Smith.
The offenders were scheduled to make their appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts but did not show up. As a result, the Police were given up to June 11, 2021, to bring the defaulters to court.
Similarly, on Friday last, Senior Magistrate Leron Daly had issued arrest warrants for another 21 persons who failed to appear in court. In that instance, arrest warrants were issued for Eric Moses, Akisha Forester, Natalie Cush, Jason Bacchus, Elizabeth Payne, Aaliyah Harding, Mark Jones, Lisa Smith, Faith Bacchus, Sarah Tucker, Selidyn Prescott, Abiola Lackno, Abiki Moses, Shania Carter, Tiffany Anthony, Roger James, Mark Blackman, Carl Adams, Tanesa Joseph, Tasha Payne, and Janenda Singh.
