Cousins shot during argument in Sophia

A labourer and his cousin of North Sophia, Greater Georgetown are patients at the Georgetown Public Hospital after they were shot on Friday evening during an argument.
Injured are 27-year-old Yardan Jacobs and 29-year-old Steve Bacchus, a businessman.
Jacobs was reportedly shot to his abdomen while his cousin sustained a gunshot wound to his lower back.
Based on reports received, Jacobs was at the Tanary area hanging out with some friends when he got into an argument with another man. However, Bacchus intervened, causing the suspect to get angry. In retaliating, the suspect whipped out a firearm and discharged several rounds in the direction of the two men.
The suspect then fled the scene.
Police ranks on patrol duty responded and took Jacobs to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was admitted as a patient. His condition is listed as stable. Bacchus was taken to the hospital by public-spirited citizens and also admitted, and his condition was listed as stable too.
The Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect who remains on the run.
