CPCE teacher trainees receive fire safety training

Eighteen teacher trainees from the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) were on Monday equipped with essential fire safety and emergency preparedness skills during a comprehensive training session conducted by the Guyana Fire Service (GFS). They were lectured on procedures to follow in the event of a fire; responding to the discovery of suspicious items or packages; procedures to follow in the event of an accident; and basic first aid.

The trainees also received practical exposure to workplace safety practices, reinforcing the importance of emergency preparedness in educational and professional settings.
Fire extinguishing balls were also handed over to the trainees as part of the GFS mass distribution drive.
